; The following are the only currently recognized parameters for QMXSETUP.CFG
; Don't forget to rename this "QMXSETUP.CFG" to use it!
;Parameters only available in version 2.00 and later:
To allow XRSDoor to "Swap out" to LIM/EMS or disk during calls of all
external programs:
Swap
To force Swapping (which must be enabled for this to have any effect)
to only swap to Disk instead of prefering LIM/EMS:
No EMS
To make XRSDoor call "Mk/Xrs" to process mail into the message databases
while the user is still online (includes netmail accounting, etc):
MKXRS
To give users extra "Free time" when using XRSDoor (in addition to the
remaining time normally available):
FreeTime 10
To force XRSDoor to use another subdirectory (other than \QMX), which
*MUST* be an empty directory exclusively for XRSDoor to process mail:
;InDir d:\somewher\overther
To force users to get certain conferences (up to 10) - use the area
_numbers_ in:
;Force 1
To force certain conferences (up to 10) never to be available to XRS
even if they pass normal security checks, use the area _numbers_:
;Lockout 69
To enable XRSDoor placing any ^aPID: lines it finds into the mailbags:
Show PIDs
To force XRSDoor to display *only* new files found during the new file
search (and not the last five in the list if no new files are found):
New Only
If you are running a Hudson-style (QuickBBS format) door on an 'alien'
BBS system, dropping carrier in the door may cause your software to do
truly "unusual" things! You can prevent this option from being used:
;NoLogoff
;Parameters only available in version 1.30 and later:
This is *required* if you are running RemoteAccess! It is ignored if you
run QuickBBS. For RA systems, XRS recognizes multiple netmail areas and
allows you to use different AKA addresses automatically, but you *must*
still specify which area is the primary one here!
;NetMail 20
This parameter allows you to override the loss of the user "MenuBar" if
you run Desqview (normally, RAX/QMX will not show the bar or 'lock' the
window if Desqview is detected.
;ShowBar
This parameter has changed. It now is used only to create the unique name
of mailbags downloaded from your BBS. Only the first 7 characters are
used, and wildcards are not allowed. Please chose something unique for
your system so that you do not duplicate someone else's board ID. For
example, I use "EBAYXCH", whereas Peter Janssens uses "EZBOARD", etc.
This parameter is required! (without it, all your users with XRS 3.21 or
later will get mailbags named "UNKNOWN1.ZXR", etc.) Named mailbags have
extensions unique to the XRS program - .ZXR for Zipped files, .AXR for
arc'd files or .LXR for LHArc'd files.
;BBSID YourBBS
To replace the former funcationality of 'BBSID' above, use this parameter
to include files inside every mailbag created. Wildcards are allowed.
;Include EBAY*.XRS
;Paremeters only available in version 1.10 and later:
Disable beeps on the SysOp side only (Quiet mode). Without this
parameter, the SysOp hears all the beeps the user gets.
NoBeep
Place output files for SysOp (user # 0) un-compressed into this
subdirectory when logged on locally (not when called over modem).
This *must* point to a sub-directory that is already created.
SysOpOut C:\XRS
If you want the resulting compressed mailbag to end up in an area
other than the current subdirectory (usually used in conjunction
with the "Defer" option), place the sub-directory pathname here.
(even if you use this parameter, which causes QMX to build mailbags
somewhere else, you can still use the built-in DSZ protocol calls)
;OutPath C:\DOWNLOAD
; Parmeters available in version 1.00 and earlier:
Disable file buffering on MSGHDR.BBS and MSGTXT.BBS - on some systems it
may be faster to *not* buffer these files!
;NoBuff
To disable <CTRL-BREAK/C/K> exits from external batch files, you may use
the following parameter. NOTE: The user cannot interrupt the program
except by hanging up if this is turned on! I don't see *any* reason to
have it any more, but just in case. (without it, the user is sent back
to the BBS when he hits <CTRL-BREAK/C/K>...)
;NoBreak
In order to run in "No Points" mode, or to assign a specific point number
to all QMX/XRS users, place a number from 0 up to 32767 after this
;Point 666
To use a different maximum limit of messages for one mailbag, assign any
number less than 5000 to the following (995 is the default)
Limit 2000
Disable the internal DSZ downloads (so user can d/l from normal files area)
Can be used in conjuction with the new "OutPath" parameter in 1.10 to place
resulting mailbags into the download area for download using the built-in
QuickBBS protocols, just like any other file (instead of having QMX do it
with internal calls to DSZ). Generally, using the internal DSZ calls will
work in every case, and this is provided for those having problems to try.
;DEFER
To support FOSSIL with locked baud rate 9600, 19200 or 38400 (HST, etc)
;LockBaud 19200
To show new uploads onscreen (as well as in SUMMARY1.XRS for <F6> pop-up)
during "New Uploads Since Last Login" FileScan.
;ShowFiles
